First Baptist Church has a long history integrating music into worship and the worship calendar. The choir practices year round and offers Christmas and Easter cantatas. Contemporary hymns or choruses are blended into the morning worship by utilizing such resources as Keith and Kristyn Getty, Sovereign Grace Music, ChurchWorksMedia, and selections from CCLI.

With a number of young instrumentalists in the church family, we hope to involve more and more of them in using their talents to serve the Lord and His people in building the music ministry of the church.

Join us as First Baptist Church welcomes Jubilate English Handbell Choir. The name Jubilate refers to an outburst of joy and triumph as in Psalm 100: "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth!"
This 12-member English handbell choir from Appalachian Bible College, under the direction of Mrs. Rosalie Anderson, is traveling to churches and schools in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana in May 2018.

Besides five octaves of handbells, the Jubilate program incorporates additional instruments and a short drama. The concert is engaging and inspiring for all ages. Admission is free.
